Built to last without us.
Your business shouldn't depend on any one person, any one system, or any one vendor staying available. We design so the work keeps going even if a single piece — including us — drops out.
Hive Bastion — an AI systems architecture and integration company.
We build custom AI systems for commercial clients, small businesses, and individuals — designed around how your work actually runs, and owned by you when we hand off.
The three commitments we make on every engagement — how we think before we build, while we build, and after we deliver.
Your business shouldn't depend on any one person, any one system, or any one vendor staying available. We design so the work keeps going even if a single piece — including us — drops out.
Security and reliability aren't features bolted on at the end. They're how we build from the first commit — so your data, your customers, and your brand are protected by the architecture itself.
Before we write the build plan, we write down what could break it: what could fail, who could attack it, what mistake could cost you money. Every risk we name gets a written answer — designed into the system before the build begins.
We take on a small, deliberate number of engagements at a time — so every client gets the full attention of the people who plan, build, and deliver the work. No sales layer. No introductions to a team you've never met after the contract is signed.
AI agents and copilots configured to your business context. Autonomous workflows for document review, research synthesis, and decision support. Built to run securely — on your infrastructure, in your cloud account, or hosted by us. Your call.
The forms, reports, follow-ups, intake flows, and data-shuffling that take hours out of every week — automated end-to-end, reliable when things go sideways, integrated cleanly with the systems you already use.
When the products you can buy don't quite fit, we build what does. Web applications, internal systems, data tools — designed for your business, owned by you, documented so anyone you hire later can pick up the keys.
Not sure if something is possible? Or whether it's worth the cost? We build the smallest working version that answers the question and write up what we learned — so your next decision rests on evidence, not on a sales pitch.
Two engineering disciplines we apply to every client build from the first commit.
We engineer every Hive Bastion deliverable to SOC-2-aware standards from day one — identity-bound access, encryption at rest and in transit, audit-trail logging, least-privilege service accounts, change-controlled deploys. When your auditors arrive, the architecture doesn't add work. It already answers the questions they're going to ask.
Generic AI guesses from the public internet. Your AI should answer from your business — your documents, your procedures, your history. We integrate Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) so the AI tools we build for you draw on your own knowledge base, not a stranger's. The result is grounded answers, traceable to source.
Every engagement follows the same four phases. Each one has a clear written deliverable, so you always know where the work stands and what comes next.
A short paid engagement to put your idea in writing: what we're building, what "done" looks like, what's not included, what it costs. Flat fee. You keep the written plan whether or not we work together after.
We do the actual work — the same people who wrote the plan, not a subcontracted team. You see a working demo each week and a running log of what landed, so there are no surprises and no invisible "ramp-up" time on your bill.
Software needs care after launch. We watch it, fix what breaks, harden it where it gets attacked, and keep it healthy — month by month. You renew when it's earning its keep, and you can stop anytime.
When the engagement ends, you get the source code, written runbooks, and a documented plan for what to do if something goes wrong. You can retain us to operate it, or take it to your own team — we agree which on day one, not in an awkward conversation at the end.
Hive Bastion is led by a retired U.S. Army Special Forces (Green Beret) operator — twenty years of working under pressure, in environments where the wrong decision is expensive. That operational discipline runs through everything we build: the planning, the execution, the after-action review.
Mission-first. Quiet capability. The work before the talking.
Send a brief email — what you're trying to solve, what you've already tried, what "done" would look like. We read every inquiry and reply within one business day. There's no obligation. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help.
